Taking big bold steps transforms an interesting idea to a plan of action, towards steps to progress and potentially huge results. The results are further progression on a success pathway which means goals get closer to being realised. It takes big leaps of faith, as often its more comfortable to stay where you are and maintain the sanctuary of the familiar. Leaps of faith involve taking action, irrespective of how we feel. 1. Aligning your gifts and goals
Map out where you want to go. Don’t know where to start, ask yourself these 2 questions. Are you clear about your strength talents and gifts? Are these aligned to big goals that excite and challenge you?
2. Investing in goal realisation
If you have a big goal and you are not prepared to invest time or resources, it’s unlikely to be anything more than a pipe dream. If you’re a business, you must invest in growth if you’re an individual you must invest in your development. Failure to do this will result in lack of progression
3. Get a trusted advisor
The entrepreneurial instinct is independent and there is tendency for self-reliance. It can seem to be a leap to take on a trusted advisor whose role is to provide advice, support, and clarity in different areas of business/organisational development beyond accounting or legal. Business mentors, coaches and consultants are all interested in progression, their area of interest and expertise may differ but investing in this resource is worthwhile.
This can be a game changer. Firstly, you will get a sense clarity and a pathway to achieve steps 1 and 2. Secondly, when working with a mentor, coach, or consultant, you get an honest broker that can provide essential guidance, insights, and support. This can make a significant difference to how you go about your journey.
4. Find a Network
The value of a network can be huge. In a network you find referrals, partners, expertise, access to support and advice that can grow your business. Again, this is an underrated resource, because if may take time to find the right network, it can put people off. The right network will sync with your personality, align with where you are on your journey and will accelerate your growth.
